Is there anything more magical than photographing dancers? The collaboration of art forms is one of the best. The lines of dancers are incredible and seem to defy what the human body can normally do. I don’t think I will ever tire of working with them.
When we are doing a creative dance session, I always start a Pinterest board and we collaborate on poses, ideas and costumes. That way I come with lighting and backdrops that help achieve that. Through the session we also change the lighting, angles and everything down to the hair can help achieve a look.
Long, flowy skirts added some movement and when you have a subject that is as stunning as this one it makes me want to shoot all day.

I know Reice because I photographer her company several times a year. I’ve had the opportunity to work with her a few times now, and she’s a blast to have in the studio. She is a smart, caring and lovely person inside and out and so I was very excited to do her senior portraits. When we arranged her session I was almost giddy, because Reice wanted to go with a space that was a little more industrial and it made for a fun and unique portrait session.
