Victoria Ballet Theatre 22-23 Season Shoot | Ballet Photography for Marketing
I love what I do, but dance photography has a very special spot. I look forward to this season each year. It rained, it was hot, we had a live rabbit and we danced in the streets.
For those who are new the T.H.E. Photography, I do a good amount of dance photography and this is a session for a ballet company to market their season. We have the shoot in the summer just before they launch the season. It is a collaborative session, we brainstorm beforehand, and costumes are pulled and then some of it happens on the spot as we get inspired. The dancers are always a joy to work with, but it can be a long day for them and I so appreciate all their hard work.

I know Reice because I photographer her company several times a year. I’ve had the opportunity to work with her a few times now, and she’s a blast to have in the studio. She is a smart, caring and lovely person inside and out and so I was very excited to do her senior portraits. When we arranged her session I was almost giddy, because Reice wanted to go with a space that was a little more industrial and it made for a fun and unique portrait session.
