Our Summer Vacation @ Hyatt Hill Country | Katy, Texas Family Lifestyle Photographer

It is the final countdown until we start school in a week.

We had a good summer. I was busy with various work projects, but we found some balance. The girls appreciated all the time she got with their friends and cousins who now live nearby. We did a lot of park days, swim days, lazy days and staying up late to watch movies.

One of the highlights was our trip to Hyatt Hill Country over the Fourth of July.

We went there with my brother, his family and my parents. Our kids are all close in age. The girls always look forward to time with their cousins. The added bonus was that Hyatt Hill Country caters to families and make it easy. There is the lazy river, pools, sandy beach and slide that kept them busy. In the evenings, the smores were a big hit. Some just roasted marshmallows, while others ate three.

There is a parade that goes through the resort and everyone can decorate wagons and bikes. They have a couple bands too. The girls LOVED it. It ends just before the fireworks begin. The kids thought the fireworks were amazing and it was fun to sit with them on a blanket and watch their fascination.

I treasure these days and memories with them. I know at some point when I pull out my camera they won’t allow me to follow them, but for now I take advantage when I can.

Here’s to another summer. We are so appreciative of being close to both our families now and that our kids get to see their cousins more.
