Before & After

I love being a photographer, but the Baton Rouge area isn't known for their glorious falls with the beautiful changing leaves that people envision when they think of the fall.  I LOVE fall.  It's my favorite season.  Recently I've seen so many beautiful fall portraits that have just inspired me.  So this past weekend we were hanging out with some friends.  It was one of the first weekends with that feeling of fall.  Cool(ish) crisp air made me want to get my camera out.  

I snapped the picture below of a friend's little one who was playing while the moms were chatting and mine were running around and falling face first on the sidewalk.  This little girl's eyes have always just drawn me in.  When I loaded them on my computer I thought how much I liked it.  Then decided to start playing around, I wanted it to look like fall.

Editing is half the fun for me, and I'm constantly trying to improve my skills.  Overall, I was pretty happy with my faux fall look.  What about you, what's your favorite look for portraits?  Do you like the cozy, winter scenes?  Perhaps the beautiful pastels spring brings in?  Feel free to comment below, I'd love to hear and perhaps next time try another edit style.
