The days are long, hot, and humid. It feels like bed times get forgotten for five more minutes on the swing, about five times before we manage to get everyone inside in the evenings.

I feel like we are a bit new to this, off of school, summer thing. Up until this year, my kids have been to mothers day out, two days a week. This past year, our oldest was in full time school.

The moment school was out it felt like it was all eyes on mommy. "What are we doing today?" Well, if you know me, I kind of (okay, totally) dread summer for this reason. What do you do with one under one, a three and four year old? Other than pull your hair out.

Let's be honest, getting them in and out of the car is a huge physical triumph. So I consider any outing a win!

Well, we have definitely had our ups and downs. Some days, I rock it!!!! Others, I just keep it together, barely. It is a balancing act between, woooohoooo no schedule let's have fun and eat ice cream for lunch, and there is no way I'm going to the zoo (again) in this heat. I usually say kids don't mind the heat, but even my kids are declining trips to the park and zoo because of it.

We have found though, that morning and evenings we can get some time in playing outside. Swing, play king of the castle, and chase our boxers around. I've been trying to capture what I can. In fact, while I was writing this post, the girls went crazy with water and sand!!

Our youngest is about to turn one, and started walking and talking, so I'm emotional over that. My kids still don't mind the camera coming out, so that's exactly what I've done.

I'm trying to document as much as I can of these early years!
